Our Church History
In 2005, Kevin and Ashlee Bradford felt a calling to start a church in Appleton, Wisconsin. At the time Kevin was serving as the Discipleship Pastor at Kingdom Life Fellowship in Clyde, Texas. As Kevin and Ashlee began to explore the possibilities of what to do in the next season of their life, things began to fall into place for them to make the 1400-mile move cross-country to Appleton.
In the fall of 2007 Kevin and Ashlee began meeting with some people in the Appleton area to dream about what the church plant would look like, feel like, and be about. It was determined that Appleton did not need just another church, but felt like it needed a kingdom-minded church that was life giving and focused on developing solid relationships within families, marriages, friendships, and the church.
In 2008, the church plant began having Sunday Morning services with a small core group of 4 families focusing on building a core group of believers. The services began at the La Quinta Inn in Grand Chute, Wisconsin. The church now has a new location at the Freedom Center, an outreach partnership with other regional churches, at 1110 Oneida St. Appleton, Wisconsin.
The church plant is still very much in the development stages as it finishes it first full year of planning and growing the core group in the summer of 2009. With the recent addition of a worship pastor, and children's pastor the core group is beginning to take shape for an official launch as Overflow Church.
Overflow Church is a place where everyone is welcomed, wanted, and accepted no matter where you have been, or what you may have done. Come see the difference Sundays at our Celebration Service at 10 AM.
